Inclement Weather 
  • In the rare event that classes are cancelled Ice Covered Car due to severe winter weather, the Student Life office will notify AGTS students, faculty, and staff.
    • Tune in to local television and radio stations in Springfield to learn if the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary has cancelled classes. 
    • The AGTS website will display important announcements on the home page.
    • Call AGTS at (417) 268-1000 for a recorded announcement.
    • Call Evangel at 417-865-2815, say "Snow" as the extension and then select AGTS option. Just because Evangel University closes, does not mean AGTS will be closed.

New Student Orientation/Registration 
Summer Practicums
  • Students must apply and register for class credit BEFORE doing practicums; credit will not be given for those requesting credit after completing practicums.
  • Intercultural Ministry: Email Paul Lewis for an appointment during January 5-26.
  • All other practicums: contact Randy Walls during the week of January 18-26. 
Student Appointments with Faculty
  • Email faculty members to arrange an appointment.  Use the faculty member's last name and first initial as in this example (cottonr@evangel.edu). 
  • Faculty encourage students to meet them for class matters, ministry, or personal concerns. 
Recognized Holidays in January
  • AGTS offices will be closed and classes will not be in session the following days:
    • January 1:  New Year's Day
    • January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

Registrar's News
 
Graduation Application Deadline: January 30
  • Complete and submit the 2015-16 graduation application   to the AGTS Registrar's Office by January 30, 2016, if you are planning to graduate in the spring or summer 2016 semester.
  • Students graduating fall 2015, spring 2016, and summer 2016 will all participate in the May 2016 commencement service.
Spring Semester
  • Tuesday, January 26 is the last day to drop or add Drop add classes. Use the drop/add form from Registrar's Forms. See the AGTS Catalog for refund policy terms if you are dropping a class or classes.
  • If you need to audit a class, use the audit registration form from Registrar's Forms

  • Summer registration must be entered on the Student Portal from March 7-April 15.
  • Fall registration must be entered on the Student Portal from March 7-June 10.
  • If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar.

  • Check the Student Handbook for guidelines concerning privacy of student records.

Student Accounts 
  • Please make sure your student account is paid in full by the end of Fall 2015 term. 
  • Students whose accounts are not paid in full cannot complete registration for future terms. 
Deferred Payment Dates   
  • Deferred payments for the Spring 2016 semester are due on or before January 4, February 15, and March 15.
  • Payments must be received in the Business Office on or before these dates in order to avoid a $25 per month "Late Payment Fee."
 
Endowed Scholarship Applications Scholarship
  • Scholarship applications for the 2016-2017 academic year will be completed through the EU Student Portal, and will be available from December 1, 2015 until January 31, 2016.  
  • Students will log in to the Portal, select "Money" from the column at left on the Home page, then select the "Scholarships" tab on the following page to access, complete, and submit the AGTS application.
 
Spring 2016 Scholarships, Discounts, and Grants    
  • Institutional aid and endowment awards for the Spring 2016 term should post to student accounts by the end of February.  
  • If you are a recipient, please log in to the EU Student Portal and review your student account carefully to make sure that the award and the accurate amount has posted to your account as anticipated.  
  • Please report any suspected discrepancies to Samantha Jones in the EU Student Financial Services department as soon as possible.

  • If you are expecting a refund, per your award letter, excess funds will be processed approximately six weeks after the last add/drop date of the semester, or approximately late February. 
Financial Aid Tip
  • Pay on your loan interest while in school! This will help keep your principle down and result in lower monthly payments once you graduate.
