Evangel University Homecoming/
Presidential Inauguration


As an embedded Seminary within Evangel University, the AGTS faculty, staff, students, and alumni are invited to participate in the annual Evangel University Homecoming Celebration on October 9-11.


This is a wonderful opportunity for us to support Dr. Carol Taylor, also an AGTS alum, at her Inauguration as President of Evangel University, and to join with President Byron Klaus and the AGTS faculty who will participate.

Missions Residency Program Opportunity

  • For a young missionary or missionary couple
  • Requirements:
    • Finished seminary education
    • Be called and committed to go to unreached people around the world
    • Be within a margin of debt, that with the church's help, could be retired before applying for missionary appointment
    • Serve on staff for two years at West County Assembly of God, Chesterfield, Missouri
    • Applications must be received by April 15.
  • If interested, please pick up the list of candidate qualifications and application from Jan Maempa

Write Place

  • Free tutoring service is available to all Evangel and AGTS students.
  • Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
  • Set up an appointment one of three ways:

    • Call 417-865-2815, ext. 8545 for online or Skype appointment. A tutor will call you back with some appointment times.

 Free Writing Tool

  • Using "," an online grammar coach, may improve your writing and enable better grades! 
  • AGTS has renewed its license for this online program for checking the quality of writing--including grammar, style, and plagiarism. 
  • We are providing this service free of charge to all students and faculty.
  • There are instructions for use on the Student Portal.
  • The student is responsible ultimately for making the grammatical decisions; is not error-free.

 Spring 2015 Practicums

  • Students must apply and register for class credit BEFORE doing a practicum; credit will not be given for  those requesting credit after completing practicums.
  • Pick up practicum forms from Randy Walls or Nikki Reeves.
  • October 6-10: Schedule appointment with practicum professor.

Spring 2015 Registration

  • Plan to register between November 3- December 12 for spring 2015 classes. 
Priority Spring 2015 Registration for 
U.S. Veterans (All former and current military personnel)
  • Students who are U.S. Veterans may register for Spring classes one business-day early--Friday, October 31. This ensures that veterans get into limited-seating classes first. 

 Graduation Application Deadlines  

  • October 30: Deadline for students who will graduate in December 2014
  • January 30, 2015: Deadline for students who will graduate in the spring or summer 2015 semester
  • Apply for graduation by completing and submitting the 2014-15 graduation application to the AGTS Registrar's Office by the appropriate deadline. 

Graduation service

  • Students graduating this fall or next spring (and those approved to graduate next summer) will all participate in the May 2015 Commencement Service.

Free Audit for Spouses

  • Spouses of full-time seminarians (9 hours minimum) may audit one class this coming spring free of charge.
  • See the AGTS Registrar's Forms for the spouse audit registration form. Contact for more information.

Deferred Payment Dates  
  • Accounts not paid in full on or before the first day of the semester will incur a "Deferred Payment Fee" of $50.
  • Deferred payments (1/3 of term charges remaining after institutional aid is factored in) must be made on or before the following dates: 
    • August 22
    • October 15

Student Account Balances 

  • Please log into the EU Student Portal and check your student account balance frequently.  All scholarships, grants, and tuition discounts for the fall 2014 term should post to student accounts on or before September 29.
  • If you are expecting a financial aid award for the fall and it does not appear on your October statement, or if the amount shown seems incorrect, please notify the AGTS Business Office at 417-268-1039 or 417-268-1035. You may also email Ryan Winters, Coordinator of Business.

2014-2015: Is on sabbatical leave this year conducting library and experiential research on the topic, Spiritual Adventuring: Going Deeper in the Presence and Power of God. This month she has a private desk and flat at Tyndale House, Cambridge in the UK, where she begins research on the foundational chapter of her work, "A Biblical Theology of Spirituality." One part of the team is doing benevolence work through Engage Ministries (Ken and Kendra Dout), and I will be working with missionary Tony Morales teaching a seminar for pastors on basic principles of biblical interpretation in Matagalpa and Managua, Nicaragua.
