Springfield, Missouri---January 28, 2013---The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) is proud to announce the publication of the first issue of an academic journal devoted to missiology from a Pentecostal perspective. The International Journal of Pentecostal Missiology (IJPM) is a peer-reviewed, electronic journal with periodic publication.

"The IJPM was birthed out of the hearts of Pentecostal missionaries and missions scholars with a desire to see critical reflection, academic rigor, practical engagement, and Pentecostal spirituality brought together specifically for the missional enterprise," said Journal editor Dr. Paul Lewis. "As such, this journal endeavors to bring together a variety of global Pentecostal voices in mutual interaction and exchange to further the work of global missions."

The Journal will allow for biblical, theological, historical and/or missiological articulations as well as book reviews based on relevant contemporary works.

"This journal represents the continuing commitment that AGTS has to promoting missiological research that serves global mission," said AGTS president Dr. Byron D. Klaus.
