Faculty News

Roger Cotton ('78) will attend the annual, national meetings of the Institute for Biblical Research and Society of Biblical Literature in Chicago, IL, Nov. 16-19.
Beth Grant ('79) was the guest presenter for 2012 North American Association of Christians in Social Work Convention, St. Louis, Missouri. The topic was "Transformational Intervention and Aftercare for Sex Trafficking Survivors: A Holistic Approach to Healing." She also presented a seminar on "Developing Missional Leadership" for the Southeastern University Master's cohort in Executive Leadership, in Lakeland, FL.
Mario Guerreiro will be at Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA, Nov. 29.
Mark Hausfeld ('83) will be at the following events Nov. 14-16: discussing Islam in Europe and the response of the Pentecostal European Church at the Pentecostal European Mission Conference, Brussels, Belgium.
Nov. 25: speaking in the morning service at the AG Church in Wa Wai, Hong Kong.
Nov. 26-30: teaching a master's class on Engaging Islam at the Ecclesia Bible College, Hong Kong
DeLonn Rance ('83) will participate in a strategic planning session with the Pentecostal European mission agency in Brussels, Belgium Nov. 14-17.

Charlie Self recently taught at AGTS West in Sacramento, CA. He will speak at New Hope International Church in Sunnyvale, CA Nov. 25. |

Acts: An Exegetical Commentary. 4 vols. Grand Rapids: Baker Academic; vol. 1, 2012.
The first volume of Craig Keener's ('85/'87) four-volume Acts: An Exegetical Commentary has been released by Baker Academic. This 1038-page work covers the first two chapters of Acts and includes a CD for references and indexes. An introductory chapters includes a defense of miracles. The four-volume set promises to be the most detailed commentary on Acts available.

Alumni News
Brent and Amanda Fairchild (both '07) live in Fort Worth, TX where Brent serves as a chaplain at Cook Children's Hospital.
Dwight Miranda ('02) and his wife Lizania, planted Vida (Life) Community Church in Lutz, FL in 2007 when they were serving as AGUS missionaries. On October 14 they launched their first campus church, as part of their 5 years anniversary celebration, Vida (Life) Citrus Park, FL.

Capt. Kevin Chelf ('05) is currently assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing at Cannon AFB, NM. On 20 October 2012 he officiated the wedding of his daughter Kelley (Evangel '12) to Dustin Oliver (Evangel '12) in a ceremony at First Assembly of God Delphi, IN pastored by Rev. Brent Oliver.
