Greetings!

You're sure to love my new listing located in an awesome neighborhood on the Ponce de Leon Golf Course. This one owner home is loaded with custom details and perfect for entertaining as the visual tour will prove.

The article on trendy bathroom upgrades has some great ideas whether you are getting ready to list or just want to enjoy for yourself. The link to "Incredible Real Estate Stats" is full of information that may surprise you. I included a few quotes from famous people about home and home ownership. The "Village Happenings" speaks for its self. Be sure to watch the short video on some gorgeous landscaping in the Village. Whether you enjoy shopping, music, fishing, or taking in a festival, it's all here and close.

There is a little more village history included. It is very interesting how the village has changed over the years in both why people relocate here and what amenities they look for.

Where Happiness Is
"Cooper, Sr. knew how to market"

When John Cooper developed Hot Springs Village - before the first lot was sold - he helped plan a meeting in Hot Springs where businesses and travel editors from eight states were attending as guests of the Arkansas, Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission and Hot Springs Chamber of commerce. The two day weekend meeting took place in May 1970.

The highlight of the meeting was a marathon press briefing by officials of the John A. Cooper Company talking about their plans for a 20,000 acre development known as Hot Springs Village.

In March of 1970, the John A. Cooper Company bought the Velda Rose Motel and Towers to accommodate  15,000 families to be brought in from June to the end of the year, for a free weekend tour with more than 25,000 families to visit in 1971.

Cooper, Sr., invented the concept of graduated retirement. His idea would be a process, spreading over many years, with family vacations an immediate benefit of the program.
