PYWA New Header
Introducing...

We are excited to have three new people serving on the PYWA Core Team, the leadership arm of PYWA. Our new members will begin their 3-year terms this November, and below you can learn a little about each new face. They will join returning Core Team members Rebecca Chancellor, Wade Hatter, and Bill Jewell (Class of 2014); and Sarah Akin, Brian Kuhn, and Nick Wallworth (Class of 2015).

Amy has served in almost every role in Youth Ministry: volunteer, paid Youth Director, volunteer again, driver, cook, leadership with local and national events, volunteer (AGAIN); and she currently serves as the Associate for Youth Ministries for the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina. She lives in Wilmington, NC with her husband, John, two teenagers, and a ridiculous number of animals. She loves great conversation, thoughtful quotes, a variety of music, and hearty laughter. She looks forward to serving all of those called to be Youth Workers!

Jeremy is originally from Arkansas, and is currently the Associate Pastor for Youth Ministries at the Salisbury Presbyterian Church in Midlothian, Virginia. He has been involved in Youth Ministries in some way for around 12 years, not including all his time as a youth! He is married (Whitleigh) with a 4 year old (Beckett) and another son due in December (Jasper). Jeremy is looking forward to joining the Core Team of PYWA and helping expand our mission.

In 2010, Michele moved to Seattle to serve at University Presbyterian Church as the Elementary Ministries Intern. She's been involved in overseas ministry in Russia, Thailand, and Haiti. Currently, Michele is earning her Master of Divinity at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology with the desire to become an ordained minister in the PC (USA). She loves exploring the outdoors, good coffee, baking often, Nerf guns, Bocce Ball, and she is still on the hunt for the best ice cream in Seattle. Michele occasionally breaks out into song and enjoys spontaneous dance parties. She will never turn down an opportunity to dress up like a superhero. Most importantly, though, Michele loves sharing her faith with youth and inviting them to know God in a deep and real way.
