Perhaps you could help put together something similar in your area?  Or join in on this event!

About the Youth Workers Day at Montgomery Center:

Being a Youth Worker, whether full time, part time or chaperone, paid or volunteer, is a meaningful, rewarding and sometimes draining ministry. The dedication, time and effort that youth workers put into the youth they mentor shapes the future of our church.  Montgomery Presbyterian Center (Presbytery of St. Augustine), located in Starke, FL, recognizes the full gamut of this work and is hosting our Annual Youth Workers Day to empower and spiritually fill those that work with youth in any capacity.

This one-day event will focus on uplifting youth workers and adult volunteers of all kinds, by providing a setting to share, create, and explore new ideas and best practices.  Shannon Guse, Director of Christian Education at Faith Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, FL, will keynote the event and focus her time around Proverbs 22:6, talking about the life long impact that youth workers, volunteers, and chaperones have on the youth that come through their programs.  Time will also be given for churches to spend individually talking to their volunteers about the upcoming year.  Workshops will range from discussions on technology to new and exciting games.  The retreat will conclude with worship.

Are you in the area?  Make plans now to attend August 17, 2013 and experience this uplifting, refilling day focused on you and your work.  Download more information here.
