The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is currently processing an application by Southern California Edison (SCE) to construct new overhead electrical transmission lines through residential neighborhoods in Corona.  The City is on record opposing the project and has urged SCE to partner with the community and seek further input on the project.

The City is hosting this meeting to bring Corona residents together with SCE representatives to learn more about the project.  This is an opportunity to get information directly from SCE staff about the proposed electrical transmission lines.

Sometime in the near future, the CPUC will be circulating a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that identifies the environmental impacts of the project.  The City and public will have a chance to review and comment on the Draft EIR.
