Hot off the press....All the details regarding Boy Scout Summer Camp, Webelos Resident Camp and Avondale Adventure (Venturing/Exploring Camp) are now live and available on the camp website!

BSCampBoy Scout Camp


 

Lots of great new adventures await you and your Scouts at Avondale this summer.  Among the highlights are:

  • More merit badges and activities....nearly 50 in all, including: Robotics, Chess, Citizenship in the Nation, Law, Astronomy, Radio and more.
  • ATVs - Two sessions of a brand new ATV will be offered each week ($75 additional cost applies).
  • COPE & Climbing - We will offer Climbing merit badge and a COPE sampler program each week. 
  • Avondale Outback - Older Scouts will relocate to another part of the reservation for three days and enjoy advanced opportunities such as action archery, COPE, paintball and stand-up paddle boards. 
  • International Camp Staff - We will be participating in the Boy Scouts of America's International Camp Staff program.  Your Scouts will love the opportunity to meet and interact with a Scout from South America or overseas.  In addition to being a great cultural opportunity, this staff member will be teaching the Citizenship in the World merit badge.

Price: $280 (Scouts), $100 (Adults). Early bird price: $250 (Scouts), $80 (Adults).  With the exception of the ATV program, this cost is all-inclusive - we will not charge additional fees for program supplies.  The early bird registration deadline is April 24th, 2015.

  • Earning badges

AAAvondale Adventure
 
New for 2015 is the Avondale Adventure.  Developed especially for Venturers and Explorers, Avondale Adventure is an opportunity for older youth to enjoy.  

 

Your Avondale Adventure will begin on Sunday July 5th, 2015, with an afternoon arrival at camp.  Following check-in, we'll spend some time at the waterfront and have dinner and social time.  On Monday morning the adventure begins.  There will be 4 days of climbing, shooting sports, swimming, boating and more.  Each evening will offer social time with campfires, more aquatics, movies and games. 

 

You will also have the option of a 2-day ATV adventure (for an extra fee) that will run all day (9-5) either Monday-Tuesday, or Wednesday-Thursday.

 

In addition to swimming, boating, rifles, archery, COPE activities and social time, Avondale Adventure participants will enjoy:

  • Pistol shooting
  • Paintball
  • Stand-Up Paddle boarding
  • Climbing
  • Rappelling

The festivities will wrap up with a closing ceremony over dinner on Thursday evening.
