CARDS ARE GOOD THROUGH 12/31/2015
Camp Cards are Discount Cards that local businesses in your area have donated to the Boy Scouts to help you and your Scouts raise money to go to camp. Each District has their own card with individualized deals respective to the areas they serve. Each card is sold for only $5.00 and you don't have to pay anything upfront to order cards to sell. Just tell us how many you think you can sell and we will get you some. $2.25 per card stays with the Scout so he can pay his way to go camping! The rest gets turned into the Council in April to pay for the cards and improve Avondale Scout Reservation.

NYLT

National Youth Leadership Training is an intense, six day, outdoor leadership training experience for youth in a troop, team, or crew. The course goal is to prepare young men and women to become superior leaders in their troop, crew, district, council, and other organizations, they belong to now.

11:00 A.M. - Sunday, May 31, 2015 through 8:30 P.M. - Friday, June 5, 2015

Participants learn to use current corporate leadership skills within the framework of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. BSA National carefully developed the NYLT curriculum with input from current corporate trainers, the United States Air Force Academy, and others in the training community. When regional pilot courses of NYLT were completed, Wood Badge for the 21st Century (advanced adult leadership training), was aligned to the NYLT Course Syllabus. Graduates of this program
become senior leadership in their troop, team, crew, as well as leaders in their Schools, Churches, and Communities.

Across the nation, National Youth Leadership Training brings together in one dynamic course the youth leaders for Boy Scout troops and Venturing crews and ships. The course is led and taught by some of the best youth leaders in the Council, all of whom are graduates of the NYLT.
Qualifications:
Any Scout who participates in the course must be at least a First Class Scout and 13 years old (but not yet 18), and a Scout that the Unit Leader feels is mature and currently filling a Unit leadership position or likely to assume a leadership position in the near future. The Scout may only attend on the Unit Leader's recommendation. It is important that the Scout has camping, cooking and hiking skills. There is no rank requirement for Venturers, but a recommendation is required.
