Times of Refreshing!

Thank you for praying for our two week vacation in January. Though we got off to a rough start, the time with family in Southern California was very restful as well as resourceful. Sometimes we get so into the thick of it that it becomes more difficult to "see the forest because of the trees". It is vital that we maintain a proper perspective in the Lord's work. We also need to keep our spiritual batteries charged.  

 We are so thankful for the unity that has been evident in the church over the last months! We are thankful for the several open "family discussions" that we have had in business meetings. When one of our young adult men taught Sunday School for the first time last week, his confidence was bolstered by what he described as "knowing that he was among family". Another of our young adult men led services and taught for the first time when he filled in for three prayer meetings during our vacation. And last but not least, a young couple joined the church just last week.

God has provided a brand new supporting church in Calvary Baptist of Greer, SC! A few other churches have been able to increase their support! We have a long way to go before reaching 100% but we are so thankful for this encouragement!

A church business meeting will be held soon to decide whether to officially call Simon Ouellette as the pastor. He has been preaching on a regular basis since December. Two weeks ago he and wife �lise met with the members to share testimonies and answer questions. We believe God was glorified by the transparency and authenticity that reigned during that meeting. Do pray for us and for the church for wisdom and direction regarding this and other decisions that directly affect our ability to concentrate fully on deputation.
