Hot Deals and Cool Temps at TMTM this Summer!
|
Summer is in full swing, and The Mini Time Machine is a great place to escape the scorching temperatures outside. Explore the museum using one of our several themed gallery guides for a different experience each visit. Or drop the kids off at clubHOUSE so you can have some downtime. Visit livingsocial.com from June 12-25 to take advantage of our amazing summer offers! Get a deal on admission or purchase an afternoon of clubHOUSE for only $10- that's less than you would pay a sitter! Each afternoon has a different theme and kids will complete and take home a miniature project. The Mini Time Machine, with the help of TMC for Children, is giving away 100 afternoons of clubHOUSE to families in need. Applying is easy. Help us spread the word. Once again, we are proud to offer free admission for active-duty military and their families through September 1, 2013 as part of Blue Star Museums. Congratulations to Jonathan Ziegler, the 1st place winner of our Seeing is Believing Video Contest. Minis Magnified
Minis Magnified is a monthly in-depth look at one of the miniatures or an artisan featured in our collection written by our very own Museum Services Manager, Emily Wolverton. This month, we will look at the needlework of IGMA Artisan, Annelle Ferguson.
"Those who do needlework in miniature practice the same techniques as they would in full scale, adding a formidable challenge in patience and dexterity to an already demanding discipline." Click here to read this article
