Greetings!
It has been a fascinating year publishing The Mini Times and partnering with NAME to bring you great features from the big world of small delights. In the coming year, we'll broaden our reach so that many more readers can enjoy the treats we have in store. With next year's NAME convention in Tucson, July 11-14, we are anticipating a busy year ahead filled with many new friends and a flurry of activities. Huge thanks go to NAME members who have provided great stories, tips and other valuable information to our readers this year!
It's International Dollhouse and Miniature month in addition to that spooky time of year when we wear disguises and pretend to our heart's content. The combination of miniatures and Halloween just seems to be perfectly matched for fun and we've filled this issue with mystery, fantasy, fright and all the morbid details. We hope you'll treasure the tiny Retablo How-To and be amazed by The Hatchling Apprentice featured in Minis Magnified. Be sure to catch our Murder at the Brownstone video too. It's sure to keep the country guessing for many months to come in our first ever whodunit by Pat Arnell.
Special gratitude goes to super sleuth and Mini Times editor Gentry Spronken, contributors Lisa Hastreiter-Lamb, Leslie Hopwood and Emily Wolverton, and to the fabulous TMTM Video Production Unit staffed by Walter Arnell and Peter Tesluk. Our guest video directors this year included Lisa Hastreiter-Lamb, Dorana Lopez, Gentry Spronken and Emily Wolverton. Special thanks to our stars, Pete Acquisto, Pat Arnell, Madelyn Cook, Era Pearce, Connie Sauve, George Stuart, Brooke Tucker and the illustrious voice of Jay Ferrell.
Have a very Happy Halloween and a glorious holiday season. For all our readers on the east coast, we have you in our thoughts and prayers as you recover from an historic storm. Be well, and best wishes from everyone at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures!

In 1942 a murder took place at the brownstones on Dayvewood Avenue. The case was mysteriously closed before the murderer was identified. This crime still remains unsolved. Based on the fictional story by The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures founder, Patricia C. Arnell.

No Time Like the Present

With uncertainty about changes in income tax laws and deductions in 2013, there is no better opportunity than now to make the charitable donation you may have been considering.
Cash, a popular gift option, may be earning less than 1% in a savings or money market account, and could yield the donor immediate federal income tax savings of 35% or more of the amount donated.
Those who were fortunate to have purchased stock at rock bottom prices during the recession have seen these shares more than double in value in recent months. A gift of appreciated securities to the museum allows you to deduct the appreciated value of the stock up to 30% of your gross income, carrying over any excess for up to five subsequent years, and there is no tax on your capital gain.
Thank you!
