IMAGINE...EXPLORE...DISCOVER...
Issue: #2
Fall / 2012
German School Room at The Mini Time Machine
Greetings!

Now that the school year is in full swing your students should finally be acclimated to the daily routine of reading, writing and arithmetic. This issue of IMAGINE...EXPLORE...DISCOVER provides ideas from The Mini Time Machine for enlivening your lessons so your students are engaged in curriculum notwithstanding their excitement for the coming holidays.

Try out our Measuring Historic Miniatures lesson plan (adaptable for grades K-6) for a fun approach to teaching Social Studies and Geometry and Measurement standards. Meet TMTM Museum Outreach Educator Ben Collinsworth and invite him to your class for a lively lesson in language arts, geography, social studies, art or math.

Over a dozen miniatures in The Mini Time Machine Museum will be decorated depicting holiday traditions around the world. Get a sneak preview by exploring our interactive holiday house with your students and learn about a traditional Edwardian Christmas. Capitalize on your student's excitement by booking a tour that will address social studies curriculum standards through an exploration of winter holiday customs near and far.

Whether with students, friends, or family we hope to see you at The Mini Time Machine this holiday season!
