We hope you are enjoying the last month of summer vacation. We know that August is a busy time for all of you. We too are busy planning our fall events. We have a food drive coming up in October, a collaboration with the South Barrington Park District is in the works for our first Mutts and Mischief event, and we will be participating in some local festivities. Check back with us for more details about these pet friendly activities. They are sure to be a blast for you and your pet!

August 15th is Check the Chip Day. Microchipping greatly increases your pet's chances of being returned to you if he/she is ever lost or stolen. Microchips only work as well as they are maintained. In an effort to keep microchipped pets safe AAHA started Check the Chip Day to remind owners to keep their information updated in the microchip manufacturers database. If you pet isn't already chipped the 15th may be a good day to bring him/her in. Keeping tabs on your pet could save it's life!

Walk for the Buddy Foundation
Help raise money for the Buddy Foundation dogs and cats on Sunday September 8th, 2013 at Melas Park. Walk with or without your dog. All proceeds directly benefit the animals.
