  Greetings!

We'd like to take a moment to wish you a happy New Year! Just as many of you have made resolutions for yourselves, we invite you to be part of our New Year's Resolution. It's one we've kept for over 25 years and that is a commitment to providing a lifetime of love and care for your pets.

We know your pets are precious members of your family. Just as we make wellness a priority for our human family members, pet owners can make wellness and healthy living a priority for their animals as well.

Here's to a happy and healthy 2013!

NationalPetDentalMonthNational Pet Dental Month

February is National Pet Dental Month! Good dental hygiene is very important to your pet's wellbeing. While dental disease impacts an animal's mouth, it can also lead to more serious problems such as heart, lung, and kidney disease.
Prevent periodontal disease with regular teeth cleanings and oral exams.
In honor of National Pet Dental Month we will be offering special pricing on our dental services through the month of February.

Celebrate Your Senior Pet Month

As pets age, it's very important that they get regular screenings to make sure that no illness is brewing inside them. Animals are great hiders of disease- it's how they survive in the wild. Sometimes they hide illnesses until it is too late. Regular screenings, like mammograms for women or prostate screenings for men, can help save  your senior pet's life. Early detection is key in treating disease.

Through January 31st we will be offering special pricing on many of our senior pet screenings such as our Traditional Senior Workup, Platinum Senior Workup, and Levels 1,2, and 3 Senior Screenings.

All this and more is answered in this 17 Cool Facts About Cats Infogram (courtesy of the Oatmeal). Oh, and did you know that cats can run at 30 miles per hour? That's faster than the average human, who typically runs at 27 miles per hour.

PuppyTalesPuppy Tales- Older Dogs Can Benefit from young companions

Just one month ago Dr. House welcomed a new member of the family- a Golden Retriever puppy named Phoebe! Phoebe has been lots of fun and she has helped her senior friend Gia (Dr. House's 11 year old Golden), lead a more active and spontaneous lifestyle. Puppies can really help older dogs get the spring back in their step. Dr. House shared his insights on how senior pets can benefit from having younger companions on Housepetblog:

We hope you like meeting Phoebe!
