Words from GRAVA's Volunteer Engagement Professional of the Year!

"Thank you so much for this honor. It is truly humbling to be recognized in this way and to be among so many others whose professionalism I have admired over the years.

The Board's continued dedication and strategic planning have raised the level of professionalism in our field -- and I am so grateful for that.

In the years, I have been a member of GRAVA, I have truly benefited in so many ways and certainly credit GRAVA for helping me grow in this field."

Message From the President

Alison JN

Wow, what a terrific message from Rosemary to end the 2013/2014 cycle and being 2014/2015! It really gives me pleasure to think that our efforts have raised the professionalism of our field and to hear that GRAVA has supported the growth of our members. I know that is personally true for me and I hope that it applies to all GRAVA members as well!

For as long as I have been on the GRAVA board, we have had a goal of reaching 100 members, but for one reason or another we've just never quite succeeded. Well, maybe this year will be the year! It's not even the end of August and already more than forty people have joined or renewed their memberships for the coming year. What about you? Are you still waiting for a good reason to join GRAVA in 2014? Be sure to read on for a few GREAT reasons right now

September Workshop - Valuing Your Values

Within any organization, tough decisions and choices are made based on the values of the organization. In your role as a volunteer administrator, it is important that you know the professional values of the field, your organization's guiding values, and where your personal values potentially differ from those values and how to act within the realm of your job.

Join GRAVA and Anne Deaton of Bounce for our September Workshop on Thursday, September 4 from 8:30am - 10:30am at the Fan Free Clinic.

See you in September!
