Long Grove Road Resurfacing Scheduled for Completion Late in September
Long Grove Road between Ela Road to east of Deer Valley Drive (west of Quentin Rd) in the village of Deer Park, is under construction for asphalt resurfacing of pavement and bike lanes, replacement of driveway culverts and addition of side street drainage crossings.

The second layer of asphalt will be paved followed by final pavement markings and landscaping. Drivers and bicyclists can expect delays due to intermittent daytime lane closures.
Lake County Reports Progress on Strategic Plan
Lake County's Strategic Plan, which serves as our road map over the nextseveral years, identifies five strategic goals related to transportation, sustainability, healthy communities, economic opportunities and public safety. Residents helped shape the plan by providing input at a series of community forums in 2013. Residents also asked for more communication and transparency about what Lake County is doing with their tax dollars. The county board is committed to being accountable, accessible and transparent. Visit our Strategic Plan page to see examples of how we are making progress toward our strategic goals.
Help Shape the Future of Lake County's Housing and Community Development
Lake County government needs your input! Help us prioritize the use of federal grant funds for housing and community development activities over the next five years. Take this survey (available in English or Spanish) to assess affordable housing, neighborhood conditions, access to parks, job training programs and other needs of low- and moderate-income individuals and households. Results of the survey will be presented to the Lake County Board in the fall.
