Possible Discounts on Flood Insurance Policies Residents in unincorporated Lake County may be able to save up to 20% on their flood insurance policies. Lake County is recertified each year through FEMA based on our floodplain and building code regulations and community information and education. With this rating, there is a potential savings of up to $227 per policy, saving Lake County residents $244,290 annually. Forest Preserves Save Taxpayers $2.6 Million Due to successful refinancing, Lake County Taxpayers will be saving more than $2.6 million in interest payments from limited debt bonds, used to preserve open space, restore wildlife habitat, create new trails and improve public access to preserves. Lake Zurich Road Construction in Old Mill Grove and Industrial Park As part of Lake Zurich's 2014 Road Improvement Program, construction recently began in the Old Mill Grove subdivision and Industrial Park areas. Construction will take place 7 a.m. - 7 p.m on weekdays, and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekends. Street parking will not be permitted during construction hours.
