Quentin Rd, Reconstruction and Widening: Project Update
The Quentin Road reconstruction and widening project is about 85% complete. At this stage, all that remains is finishing touches such as the final layer of asphalt, road markings and signage. We are on track to open all lanes by the end of October (weather permitting). Thank you to the communities and motorists for your patience during this construction and we hope you find the new facilities were worth the wait! For more details about traffic signals and pedestrian/bike facilities, read the full update

Route 12 and Old McHenry Road - IDOT Project
Another project people have asked about is Rte. 12 and Old McHenry Road. This is an IDOT project, so I don't have as much information on this as I do our LCDOT projects. US 12 & Old McHenry is a signal improvement project and it is reduced to one lane in each direction. This project will likely go into next year, however the permanent lane closures will be completed by Thanksgiving and all lanes will be open during the winter. In the spring they will continue work, but it will only require daytime lane closures as they finish the project. For questions about IDOT projects, contact them directly through this online form
