Last week, on Tuesday, October 14, the Virginia Chamber and the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation co-hosted an Executive Briefing on the Economics of Early Childhood that featured a powerful speech from Mike Petters, CEO of Huntington Ingalls Industries, the largest manufacturing company in Virginia, and a data-rich presentation by nationally-known researcher Dr. Craig Ramey. The event represents the growing importance and understanding of early childhood education and its link to the workforce.
