Missionaries to speak at Women on Mission Women on Mission will meet on Tuesday, July 26 at 9:30 a.m. in fellowship hall. This will be the only meeting during July due to Vacation Bible School emphasis July 11-15. Many of our women will be helping with that important outreach activity. Presidents Judy Divine & Doris Whitcher will preside.
The meeting will open with business to conclude the planning for the Welcome Bags for the kindergarten children at Fremont Elementary School. These bags are a fun gift for each of the 80 to 100 children. They include some school supplies along with some surprise small gifts. See the list in the weekly church bulletin for items you can contribute. Or if you would like to give funds for this purpose, please mark your envelop, "Fremont Bags" and drop in the regular offering plate. Please bring any of these items listed and place in the tubs in the church entrances during July and early August. At about 10:15 a coffee/snack/chat break will take place with hostesses Becky Bennett and Autumn Desmuke in charge. Come and join the group and stay for the missionary presentation at 10:45.
The highlight of the meeting will be an opportunity to hear two of our missionaries who are stateside for a short time. They are Alan and Beth Locke who transferred about six months ago to Ghana, West Africa. Prior to that they have been serving in South Africa for a number of years. Beth is an aunt to Brian Miller, Youth Director for NHBC. We welcome them to National Heights.

Thank you for all the prayers, cards and visits during my recent illness. ~Betty Vaugine
Thank you for your prayers for the Block Party and VBS ministry at Villa Marie Apartments June 6-9. Several wonderful volunteers served food, assisted with recreation, taught Bible stories, led the music, helped with crafts and showed the love of Jesus to both adults and children. There were also several who served at the Convoy of Hope event at the fairgrounds in May, where over 8,000 people attended and at our recent Easter Egg hunt here at NHBC. And EVEN MORE will be helping with our VBS in July and the Backpack Giveaway the end of July. It is wonderful to be a part of a mission-minded congregation who is willing to reach out into the community in so many different ways! --Jeanne Carpenter
National Heights, Wow! What a day! Thank you so much for your participation in the Convoy Event. Over 8000 guests were served. Your booth helped make the Kids Zone the most amazing area for families just to relax and enjoy the day. Thank you so much! Blessings, Pam Pyeatt, Kids Zone Coordinator
