National Heights Baptist Church ~ E-News      July 2016
July is jam-packed with ministry at National Heights. Vacation Bible School is July 11-15, a week of reaching the children of our community with the love of Christ. Sunday, July 17, we will host the Greene County Baptist Association Guadalajara Mission Trip commissioning service at 6:00 PM. Several of our folks are going on the trip this year! Girls Camp is July 18-22 and Boys Camp is July 25-29, always great weeks for our children, and several of our older children will attend Centrikid July 25-29. In addition, on Sunday, July 3 we will celebrate the blessings God has provided our great nation. Pray that God will use these ministries in a profound way to transform our community. I can't wait to see what God is going to do through you!

Thank you for all the prayers, cards and visits during my recent illness. ~Betty Vaugine

Thank you for your prayers for the Block Party and VBS ministry at Villa Marie Apartments June 6-9. Several wonderful volunteers served food, assisted with recreation, taught Bible stories, led the music, helped with crafts and showed the love of Jesus to both adults and children.  There were also several who served at the Convoy of Hope event at the fairgrounds in May, where over 8,000 people attended and at our recent Easter Egg hunt here at NHBC. And EVEN MORE will be helping with our VBS in July and the Backpack Giveaway the end of July. It is wonderful to be a part of a mission-minded congregation who is willing to reach out into the community in so many different ways! --Jeanne Carpenter
