Welcome From Mr. Dees!

Dear Upham Community! Welcome Back!

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2014-2015 school year!

I hope that the summer months have provided you with some rest, relaxation, and an opportunity to rejuvenate. Upham Elementary School has been a busy place this summer. The second grade classrooms have been completely renovated inside and outside. We have a brand new water bottle refill station, and we are in the process of replacing of the exiting doors.

Now that the summer is quickly coming to a close, we are ready for the start of a fantastic new school year. First day of school for grades 1-5 is Wednesday, August 27 at 8:05 a.m. Dismissal at 12:00 p.m. First day for kindergarten is Tuesday, September 2 at 8:15 a.m. Dismissal at 3:06 p.m.

First Day... What do I do?

TheFirst day of school for grades 1-5 is Wednesday, August 27 at 8:05 a.m.

We are going to ask that you escort your children into the building on the first day. You may use the fenced playground/dismissal parking lot, the west side of Wynnewood Road and Lowell Road. This is a chance for you to say hello to the teacher. Please refrain from any in-depth discussions. You will have more time for questions during our Back To School Night on Thursday, September 18. For those of you who seek solace and a nice hug, please stop by the office and the PTO will provide you with coffee, donuts and most importantly, HUGS!!!

Before School Program

We are very fortunate that Ashley Fall will be returning this year. Ashley will teach the Before School Program as well as attend to our teaching assistant needs. If you are interested in the program please sign up using our parent portal (https://wellesley.powerschool.com/public/). Please do not send money to the office. All fees will be paid online. If you have any questions please contact our wonderful secretary, Robin Boucher (boucherr@wellesleyps.org) or 781-446-6285.

Lunch...it's not what it used to be

We actually have a very nutritious lunch menu. Whitsons is our carrier and they provide the students with various choices throughout the week. Meal pricing for elementary is $3.10 for a full meal and $0.40 for a reduced lunch.  If you would like to take advantage of the Whitsons offerings please contact Matthew Delaney at (781) 446-6210 ext. 5708 delaneym@whitsons.com

We are looking forward to welcoming all of you to another wonderful school year at Upham Elementary. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Dees at (deesj@wellesleyps.org) or 508-685-9867. See you soon!

Dare To Dream,

Mr. Dees
