Thanks to all for such a great 2014 - and lots of exciting things on the horizon, including a newly revised and published "Painting Beautiful Skin Tones with Color & Light", to be released by North Light Books on February 3rd in paperback, after fourteen happy years in hardcover.
For those of you who are considering a commissioned portrait this next year, please take note that I will be instituting a price increase effective February 1, 2015, so please contact me prior to discuss locking in the 2014 rates. As I continue to sample different online products, i have discovered that there is not ever just one place that does it all, or that does everything equally well.. So in addition to my RedBubble Store, I've also started a store at www.zazzle.com, where I've been delighted with the quality of many of the orders I've placed over the years ...including travel mugs, laptop sleeves and phone cases. Have a happy and healthy start to this fresh new year, and I'll see you next month:)

Beat the heat!!!! Next summer, I'll be teaching again in Prescott, AZ. "For Love or Money: Portraiture and the Pursuit of Excellence" is a 4-day portrait painting workshop that focuses on both painting skills and on the business aspects of art. I do not take more than 12 students in my workshops; every one of my students deserves a lot of personal attention, and I don't believe that can be accomplished with a larger student group. Next summer, I'll be again conducting a 4-day portrait painting workshop that focuses on both painting skills and on the business aspects of art. I am very excited to teach in this beautiful facility, in an equally beautiful setting - it's been years - and I mean YEARS - since I've been in the Upper Midwest for summer, and it will be a fantastic time of year. Again, space is EXTREMELY limited. I do not take more than 12 students in my workshops; every one of my students deserves a lot of personal attention, and I don't believe that can be accomplished with a larger student group.
