"Mondays with the Manager"

Village Manager Edward Silva hosts his monthly after-work meeting Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m. "Mondays with the Manager" gives residents an opportunity to drop by Village Hall to discuss topics such as Village operations, parks, police, the Council Meeting Agenda -- and have a cup of coffee on us!
Regular Council Meeting

The Oct. 5 Regular Council Meeting kicks off at 7 p.m. with a presentation of Employee Excellence Awards to Police Outreach Officers. Council then votes on numerous items including appointment of a consultant to develop a strategic plan and selection of a firm to implement a new website. Numerous other votes and presentations are planned. This meeting is video recorded and broadcast on WBAY.

Public Advisory Board Meetings

The Village gains valuable input from numerous public advisory boards. During the month of October, the Village Services Committee meets Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.; the Education Advisory Committee convenes Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m.; Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee meets Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.; and the Charter Revision Commission meets Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. These meetings are not video recorded nor broadcasted.  

Zoning Public Hearing

Council conducts a Zoning Public Hearing Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Discussion and public input is welcomed concerning a Land Development Code item that may be of interest to your immediate neighborhood. Dadeland Dodge at 16501 S. Dixie Highway is requesting a variance to permit additional wall signage. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also is asking for a modification of their site plan at 12451 Old Cutler Road.
