While the rest of the country endures frigid temperatures, gray skies, and soggy boots, Palmetto Bay simply celebrates Winter! Over the next few weeks, we've got more special events and outdoor programs planned than you can shake a snow-brush at! So read on for details about Kayak Adventures, the Mayor's Bike Ride, and our Annual Celebration Picnic. And if you don't know what a snow-brush is, well, this image is close enough.
 
Family Kayak Advenure
The 2015 Family Kayak season launches Sunday from Thalatta Estate Park. Our series of free monthly adventures includes an informative session on mangroves and a "hands-on" Kayak tour of our Biscayne Bay shoreline. Space is limited and time is short to register. Call 305-259-1234.

FacePainting 2015 Celebration Picnic 

Palmetto Bay's signature community event for more than 4,000 people -- the Village's Annual Celebration Picnic -- is set for Saturday, March 7 at Coral Reef Park, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Get ready to enjoy hot dogs, roasted corn, cool beverages, and student musical performances -- all free of charge to the public. The event commemorates Palmetto Bay's incorporation in 2002 as an independent municipality of Miami-Dade County. Mayor's Bike Ride

Join Mayor Flinn as he hosts "Bike Ride with the Mayor," Saturday morning, March 7 at Coral Reef Park -- site of the 13th Annual Celebration Picnic. Register at Coral reef Park for the Mayor's Bike Ride at 8:30 a.m. The ride, is in cooperation with County's "Bike 305 Connecting Communities" program and traverses the Village's east side, primarily along Old Cutler Road. From Book Clubs to Ballet, to Yoga and Zumba -- and plenty of organized sports in between -- you could easily do a different activity every day of the month.
