It's a New Year -- Get Involved!

Palmetto Bay is made better through a team effort and we are offering many opportunities to get involved. Consider volunteering for a seat on one of our public advisory boards. The openings include Special Events, Finance, Charter Revision, and Educational Advisory. There are two Town Hall meetings this month. I am holding a Town Hall meeting on Jan. 21, covering special events, communications, and civic participation. I am seeking your input to make Palmetto Bay better. Councilwoman Cunningham also is hosting a Town Hall meeting, on Jan. 27, which focuses on safety initiatives and Crime Watch. Palmetto Bay celebrates Arbor Day, tomorrow (Jan. 16) with Boy Scout Troop 20 planting a tree at Palmetto Bay Park. Keep reading below for details. Get involved. This is our Palmetto Bay. Let's work together to make 2015 an outstanding year of positive events and community.

Annual Alarm Registration
Renewal Process Streamlined

Don't be alarmed if you didn't receive your annual alarm-renewal letter. The Alarm Reduction Unit has enhanced its alarm registration process so that residents now get renewals one year from the date they registered, rather than all at once in January.

Share Input on Park Events

The Parks & Rec staff is asking residents to share their input on 2014 events and programs at Thalatta Estate Park. This survey is measuring the wants and needs of the public -- and sheds light on some new programs, too. We need to know what you think!
