Absentee Ballot Returns Accepted by Village Clerk Through November 19

Pursuant to Florida Statute 101.62 (2), a request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to a voter must be received no later than 5 p.m. on the 6th day before the election. Therefore, November 14 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you for the November 20 run-off election.

If you wish to request an absentee ballot after that date, you may request it in person at Miami-Dade County Elections Department, 2700 NW 87 Avenue, Miami, FL, through election day.

The Village Clerk of Palmetto Bay does not provide Absentee Ballots; this is the responsibility of Miami-Dade County Elections Department. For information on how to request an absentee ballot and Miami-Dade County's policy to request absentee ballots, click here.

In order to assist Palmetto Bay voters who wish to vote by Absentee Ballot, the Village Clerk's office will be accepting sealed, legally-delivered Absentee Ballots at Village Hall from Tuesday, Nov.13, through noon on Monday, Nov. 19. Please note that the Village Clerk's office will not accept any Absentee Ballots brought to her office after 12:00 noon. After that time, return of Absentee Ballots to Miami-Dade County Elections Department will become the responsibility of the voter. For Miami-Dade County's policy on returning absentee ballots, click here.

If you are picking up and/or returning an absentee ballot for someone, you must print and complete this affidavit prior to dropping off the ballot.
