Self Care!
Weekly Tips to Help You Create the Life You Desire
Tip of the Week

Checking In

Sometimes we are moving so fast we don't even notice how we are doing. Try this tip for a few weeks or a month to see how you can make a difference in how you think and feel.
Check List
Take a few minutes each day to check in with yourself in th
e following  areas:
  • Body - How does your body feel at this moment? What do you need? Stretch, move, drink some water, rest your eyes, have a snack, brush your teeth, go to the bathroom?
  • Mind - How is your thinking? What do you need? A break, a few minutes to organize your thoughts, a change of pace, a creative exercise, some feedback, a to-do list?
  • Spirit - How are you feeling? What do you need? An attitude adjustment, some support, a good laugh or a good cry, a stress reliever, a hug, some positive self talk?
Start by checking in at a different time each day. Soon you will know what time will give you the best information on how you are doing. Besides being mindful of how you are doing, this exercise makes you aware of what you need to feel better at the moment. So...do what you need. It might take an extra minute or two but just think of how much better you will feel having done it!
