Weekly Tips to Help You Create the Life You Desire
Tip of the Week

Here They Come Again!

I post this tip annually because I believe it is an important reminder to us all!

It's been some year. Anxiety and stress have been an everyday staple for many of us. If we, or our loved ones haven't suffered from changing circumstances, we know those who have. Yet, if you are like most of us, you're ready to jump into the holiday season, "business as usual."
Holidays
But you do have a choice. Self care for you this year can be deciding to be proactive and mindful of how you want to celebrate your holidays, not over-doing like you may have in the past. By choosing to simplify some of what you do, you can save energy for only that which is meaningful to you and your loved ones. An added benefit is that with the energy, time, and resources left over from choosing to doing only the things you deem important, you will have more to share with those less fortunate.
Want More?

For many people, the holidays bring on a sense of dread and sadness. If you or someone you know, has suffered a loss this year: of a loved one, job, health, or in  circumstances, you may wish you could magically wake-up on January 2 and skip the whole thing. Reading When the Holidays Will Never be the Same, may provide the help you need to enjoy the season in spite of your loss.

There are innumerable charities that help those in need during this time of year. From getting a toy for a needy child to providing a turkey dinner for the homeless, you and your family, can literally "give thanks" by helping out. Check out the United Way of Greater Kansas City Holiday Giving and Volunteer Guide. If you live in another city, I bet your United Way chapter has a similar guide.
