The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130X and the Wilderness System Helix MD Motor Drive are here! We got our first look at these new products at the Fred hall Show in Long Beach. The first impressions of the Tarpon 130X is a kayak that fits the bill for three big factors in choosing a kayak; Speed, Stability, and Storage. They are available for Preorder on Kayak Fishing Supplies. Release date is sometime in May. Be one of the first to get these new products. Read our full review,
We recently installed both the Bonnedox Landing Gear and the Boonedox Propel Rudder. The Landing Gear was installed on a Slayer Propel 13. We felt as though this would be the best wheel set up for this particular hull design. Installation was pretty straight forward. This is a solid system and the wheels rolled this cart very well, thumbs up! The Rudder was installed on both the Slayer Propel 10 and 13. Very simple install and a very solid construction. This rudder will lessen your worry with running aground with the factory rudder and definitely improved the tracking on both of these kayaks. Very nice upgrade for the Slayer Propel and Mariner series kayaks.
Boonedox Landing Gear and Native Watercraft Slayer Propel/Mariner Rudder are discounted this month. No need for coupon or promo code, prices are marked down on the website for a limited time!

Get HOOK'D in 2016
New for 2016 is the Lowrance HOOK-4. A fishfinder/chartplotter that combines the benefits of CHIRP Sonar and DownScan Imaging™ technology with proven features at a great value without compromising the quality anglers have come to expect from Lowrance. This is a great sized unit that packs a punch for the kayak angler. Rig this on a RAM mount for unlimited adjustability.
TIP: Lost Connection!
You are all set to hit the water for a day of fishing and you turn on your fishfinder and nothing. I see this happen to lots of anglers and it is very frustrating. Make sure to check all connections and where possible use Heat Shrink Butt Connectors and/or Heat Shrink Tubing to protect the electrical connections from the elements. A little Dielectric grease can also help to keep the water out and make a better connection.
