Our work to meet our mission of green buildings for all within a generation depends on a massive cadre of dedicated volunteers organizing to make a difference. First up, we have to give a big thanks to the Advocacy Committee. Working with our Advocacy Fellow, Cherie Ching, the Advocacy Committee helped put together many of the events noted in the recap above. The Events Committee has been working tirelessly on our annual Green Building Project Showcase, and have recently finalized the awards structure for the competition. They are currently planning the final details, and expect to have media and more information available soon. Our Outreach Committee has been active as well. The group will be hosting a USGBC MA table at the Boston GreenFest, August 21-23. They're also working to connect people to USGBC MA as members. We know you want to help out - so get in touch with us, here! Finally, our Residential Green Building Committee has been pretty busy on the web. Not only have they started their own LinkedIn group and Twitter handle, they've also lined up speakers and events for the next five months. One such speaker is Galen Nelson, Director of Market Development at MassCEC, while a tour of Fraunhofer is also on order. Our committees are where we really get down to business.
