We won for energy benchmarking in Cambridge! BEUDO has passed earlier this week. Congratulations to all who worked for this advocacy victory for green buildings.

Are you going to Greenbuild? We'll be in New Orleans from October 22-24. This is always a great way to learn and network. The Chapter is renting out a house and we'll be sure to have a social gathering during the Greenbuild week.

I hope you are enjoying nature this summer. Thank you for your participation in our efforts to transform our built environment for the benefit of all.

Speakers include:

  • Matt Edlen - Gerding Edlen

Our event's sponsoring partner, Cadmus, will be there to host an "ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Clinic" for anyone interested with specific questions about the software.

Join us on August 12th at Atlantic Wharf, Boston, from 8am - 10am for an engaging morning reception & panel.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, we currently have 9 mini-grants available; 6 by NSTAR for energy saving GADOS projects and 1 each from Capitol Waste ServicesRe-Stream, and Triumph Modular for any GADOS project. Mini-Grant applications are due August 15, 2014 For questions about the mini-grants or Green Apple Day of Service contact Steve Muzzy.

In other big news, Phoebe Beierle has been recognized by Green Building Design and Construction (gb+d) magazine for her work to advance green schools and sustainability education.

Phoebe is an exemplary advocate for green schools with her work as Boston Public Schools Sustainability Manager and Green Apple Day of Service Co-Chair for our Green Schools Committee.
