Greetings!

So January is already over! The month seems to have flown by and Valentine's Day is just around the corner. We had a lovely 15th birthday party for The Bead Shop here on the 28th January. Many thanks to all of you who came along and shared a slice of cake with us! Also thanks to those of you who wished us a happy birthday throughout the month. We have some lovely new products for you, including a new Murano colour and some new wooden bead and twin bead mixes!
New Murano Colour
Murano has been loved among our customers for a long time, and I think this new colour, Aqua Silver, is going to be a firm favourite! The silver lining of the bead really helps to make the aquamarine blue glass vibrantly shine out. These beads speak for themselves and don't need to be part of a complicated necklace. See our mini project below to see what Steph made with one of the heart beads!
Murano Heart Necklace
Valentine's Day doesn't have to be about pinks and reds! Inspired by our new Murano colour, we decided to make this gorgeous cool blue heart necklace to add a splash of colour to these chilly winter days.This project is ideal for beginners!

Nostalgia Czech Glass Beads and Sieve Findings
Some of you may be aware that we have taken on stock from Maria at Nostalgia Beads and we have now added the vintage Czech glass flower beads and some sieve components to our site! The flower beads come in small packs and vary in size, but they are perfect for spring jewellery. The sieves are detachable to make it easier for beads to be added to them and we have them in a range of findings, from cabochons to clasps. Much like with all the Nostalgia stock, 
it is unlikely that we will be able to get more in 
Twin Bead Mixes
Twin beads are a definite favourite for both experienced and new bead weavers. They are beads with two holes that lend themselves perfectly to a range of bead weaving techniques. They are a mix of transparent, metallic and pearl beads, which go gorgeously together. These mixes are limited edition, and once they're gone, we may not be able to get more of them!
  
New Wooden Mixes
These fun wooden beads are ideal for making brightly coloured jewellery! The owls come in a range of pretty pastel colours and the hole runs horizontally through the bottom of the head. The holes in the beads are large, which make them ideal for children.

 


These little ladybird beads are so cute and brightly coloured! We think they will look perfect strung on elastic with some of our other wooden beads as a bracelet.
