This is your opportunity to nominate Lotus Cuisine of India for the 2014 Business of the Year Award!
Each year the San Rafael Chamber recognizes a small and a large business for outstanding excellence in our community.
We'd love it if Lotus gets nominated for the Joe Garbarino Green Business Award!

1. Minimum compliance: Lotus is a member in good standing with the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, and is a Certified Marin Green Business.
2. Product/Services:
Lotus provides meals that are organic, local, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. Lotus is constantly increasing efforts to minimize environmental
impact from sourcing our ingredients to reducing kitchen waste and using energy efficient kitchen appliances.
3. Operations/Facilities: Our facility was completely remodeled in 2013 with energy efficient appliances. We recycle all our waste streams and donate much of our unused food to local food banks.
4. Business Philosophy: Sustainability is part of our mission. Lotus has gone all-organic and is a community leader in providing the greenest meals available.
5. Employee Engagement: All Lotus employees have been educated in green practices and regularly receive additional training .
6. Lotus is a leader in giving back to our community.
We open our doors on Thanksgiving and offer free meals to thousands of guests. We support local schools and nonprofits as well as several environmental organizations such as the annual Bioneers conference and the Marin Green Drinks business mixers.
