1.
Legislative-Office Visits:
A reminder to please make your legislative-office appointments in advance. Please understand your chances of actually meeting with your legislators while you're in Tallahassee are slim. They are extremely busy with legislative meetings. Try to schedule a brief meeting with one or more of your legislators' assistants -- they, too, are extremely important to our advocacy efforts.
► You can access information and contact information on your Florida Senator and Representative here.
Please do not make these appointments between 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26. You need to give yourself plenty of time to get to our informational rally and meeting scheduled in the Art Gallery of the 22nd floor of the Capitol from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Legislators now know what their committee-meeting schedules will be for next week; and if you find they or their legislative aide/s are not available to schedule a specific time with you, tell them that you will drop by their offices to leave some important materials for their review while you're at the Capitol on Tuesday, January 26.

The Quality Inn, located at 3090 North Monroe Street, has given us a great group rate of $60.74 per night, and that price includes the tax. Reserve your room by calling or e-mailing the hotel. Make sure you tell them you're with the Florida Cultural Alliance group to secure this special rate.
