Traffic Alert: Roselle Rd. Closing at Railroad Crossing August 24 to September 2

Roselle Rd. is scheduled to be closed at the railroad crossing between Irving Park Rd. and Central Ave. for planned repairs starting August 24. The road will close on Wednesday, August 24 and is planned to re-open by the end of the day on Friday, September 2. The road closure is part of a Metra project to make repairs at the crossing. Detour routes are posted directing motorists to use Irving Park Rd., Medinah Rd., and Lake St.

Race to Stop Hunger 5K Run/Walk August 27

Kids Against Hunger-Fox Valley is hosting a 5K run/walk on August 27, with all of the proceeds going toward feeding children. This fun family event begins at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot of BMO Harris Bank on Irving Park Rd. at Lawrence Ave. in Roselle, next to the Kids Against Hunger warehouse packing facility.

Township of Schaumburg Assessor's Office Holding Property Assessment Appeal Seminar

The Township of Schaumburg Assessor's Office is hosting a property assessment appeal seminar on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Township of Schaumburg Town Hall, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

Roselle History Museum Hosting Sip & Paint Class

The Roselle History Museum is hosting a "Sip & Paint" class on Friday, August 26 at the museum, 39 E. Elm St., from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Cost to participate is $40 per person and includes two hours of painting, along with wine and cheese pairings.

Shared Cost Parkway Tree Replacement Program Orders Due August 31

Orders for Roselle's Shared Cost Parkway Tree Program are due by August 31. This 50/50 cost sharing program gives residents the opportunity to purchase a tree for their parkway at half of the cost, with the Village paying for the other half. This is a wonderful way to add to the beauty and enhance the property values of our community.
More information about this program, including a link to download a Parkway Tree Replacement form, is available on the Village of Roselle website. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please call Public Works at (630) 671-2368 with questions.
