August 4: Roselle Park District Concert in the Park, featuring White Saddle Band, 6:30 p.m. at Turner Park, 81 E. Devon Ave.

August 5: Roselle Cruise Night, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 1084, 344 E. Maple Ave., featuring live music from Hot Rocks (Rolling Stones tribute) starting at 6:45 p.m.

August 6: Coffee With the Village Board, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber at Village Hall.  

August 17: Schaumburg Township's 6th Annual Community Wellness Day, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Schaumburg Township Town Hall, 1 Illinois Boulevard, Hoffman Estates.

August 27: 2nd Annual Kids Against Hunger - Race to Stop Hunger 5K, 8:00 a.m. starting at the Kids Against Hunger Warehouse, 400 E. Irving Park Rd. (behind BMO Harris Bank). 100 percent of race proceeds will go toward feeding kids.

Celebrate Summer at the Taste of Roselle! 
Roselle will celebrate summer with the 35th Annual Taste of Roselle this weekend. Bring family, friends, and your appetite and come out and enjoy the great food, live entertainment, carnival, craft fair, and Bingo tent. Taste of Roselle will be held on Main St., between Roselle Rd. and Howard St.  
 
Taste Schedule: 
Friday, August 5: 6:00 - 11:00 p.m. 
Saturday, August 6: Noon - 11:00 p.m. 
Sunday, August 7: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Bloomingdale Township Recycling Event August 6

Bloomingdale Township sponsors electronic recycling events the first Saturday of every month (except holiday weekends) April through December from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Roselle Park District Hosting Bounce Back to School August 11 
bounceback to school Join the Roselle Park District as they host their annual Bounce Back to School event on August 11 at Turner Park, 81 E. Devon Ave. from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This free event includes carnival games, free hot dogs (while supplies last), music, face painting, inflatables, live music, and more! The Village of Roselle is participating in this event with a public safety booth, and touch-a-truck (police, fire, and public works vehicles).

Shared Cost Parkway Tree Replacement Program Deadline is August 31 
New Tree The deadline to participate in the 2016 Shared Cost Parkway Tree Replacement Program is August 31.
 
Trees are available in either 2" or 2.5" in diameter. Residents may purchase one or two trees, depending upon the length of the parkway. Trees should be spaced approximately 40 feet apart and at least 10 feet from a driveway.

Tree orders and checks made payable to the Village of Roselle must be received by August 31. Forms and checks may be dropped off or mailed to Roselle Village Hall, C/O Parkway Tree Program, 31 S. Prospect St., Roselle, IL 60172.

The Parkway Tree Replacement form is available for download from the Village of Roselle website. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions, please call Public Works at (630) 671-2368.
