Village Hosting Final Engagement Forum for
Comprehensive Plan Update June 7

The public feedback phase of Roselle's Comprehensive Plan update is wrapping up, with last of three public forums facilitated by the Village's consultant Ginkgo Planning and Design, Inc. The forum will be held on Tuesday, June 7 in Council Chambers at Roselle Village Hall, 31 S. Prospect St., from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The consultant team will share final plans for the Village's Town Center and the Metra station area, new trails for pedestrians and bicyclists, sites near the I-390 Interchange, and other exciting opportunities. All residents and business owners are invited to participate in this opportunity to review this bold plan for the future of Roselle that captures the vision of the community and inspires action.

The focus of this final forum will be on the completed draft of the Comprehensive Plan Update. The plan update tackles big questions like: What are the major assets of Roselle that should be preserved and strengthened? What is missing in Roselle today? What are three biggest challenges for the future? What would you like Roselle to be known for in the Chicago region?

A final report with recommendations for updating the Village's Comprehensive Plan is expected to be made to the Planning and Zoning Commission and then to the Village Board this summer. This update to the Comprehensive Plan will help guide long-term land use and planning decisions for the next decade, and is one of the strategic goals set by the Roselle Village Board for 2014-2016.

More information about the Comprehensive Plan update is available on the Village of Roselle website.
