Mayor Smolinski and the Village Board will hold a meeting on Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Village Hall to update the community on ComEd's plan to install a new 138kV electric line through Roselle along the south side of the I-390 corridor as part of its West Central Reliability Project.
ComEd hosted several open house meetings this winter to provide residents details about the $58 million project to run the high-voltage line from a substation in Bartlett to one in Itasca, including pole heights, pole placements, and the impact of the project on the surrounding communities. ComEd is expected to file its plan with the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) this spring.
During the meeting on February 6, attendees will be provided further information about the Village's coordinated response to the West Central Reliability Project.
The Village of Roselle is currently forwarding comments from residents and business owners on to ComEd electronically. Use the ComEd High-Voltage Line Feedback Form to provide input to ComEd about the West Central Reliability Project. More information about the West Central Reliability Project is available on the ComEd website.
