ComEd Proposing New High-Voltage Lines in Roselle Along I-390

ComEd will host several open house meetings in January to present plans for its West Central Reliability Project, which includes the installation of a new 138kV electric line from its Bartlett substation to the substation in Itasca. The high-voltage line is proposed to run through Roselle, along the south side of the I-390 corridor.

The open house meetings will provide details on the $58 million project, including pole heights, pole placements, and the impact of the project on the surrounding communities. The open houses will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the following schedule:
  • January 5 at the Schaumburg Park District Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg;
  • January 14 at American Legion Post 1084, 344 E. Maple Ave., Roselle;
  • January 19 at the Schaumburg Park District Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg;
  • January 27 at American Legion Post 1084, 344 E. Maple Ave., Roselle.

Schaumburg Township Assessor's Office Hosting Tax Appeal Seminar December 29 
Schaumburg Township The Schaumburg Township Assessor's office is hosting a tax appeals seminar on December 29 at Schaumburg Township Hall, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates, at 6:30 p.m. Homeowners will learn how to file appeals on the assessed value of their property through the Cook County Board of Review Office during the seminar. The open appeal process runs through January 8 in Cook County.
 
Schaumburg Township Assessor John Lawson is co-hosting this seminar with Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak. The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal and address why property taxes go up when home values go down.
 
Property owners are requested to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill to the seminar. For more information, visit the Schaumburg Township Assessor's website or call (847) 884-0030 ext. 3023.
