Roselle Metra Station Commuter Parking Permits on Sale December 8

Commuter lot parking permits for 2016 will be available for purchase at Village Hall by cash or check during normal business hours, or by credit card online, starting December 8.
Permit parking is available at the North and South Permit Lots at the Roselle Metra Station and in the center two aisles of the Maple Avenue Lot. The sale of permits for the Maple Avenue lot is limited to Roselle residents only. Parking lot permit rates will increase for 2016, pending the passage of the budget by the Village Board on December 7. History Museum Hosting Christmas Open House December 6 |
 The Roselle History Museum is hosting its annual Christmas Open House on December 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Residents are invited to view exhibits illustrating Roselle's history at the Museum Campus, 102 S. Prospect St., while enjoying refreshments. Door prizes will be awarded at the open house.

Bloomingdale Township Electronic Recycling Event December 5

Bloomingdale Township sponsors electronic recycling events the first Saturday of every month (except holiday weekends) April through December from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
As a reminder, electronic waste is banned from landfills and is no longer picked up at the curb on garbage day. For a list of other electronic recycling programs, please visit the Village of Roselle website.

Holiday Light Recycling Program

Roselle residents can recycle broken and tangled strands of non-working holiday lights through a program sponsored by the Village of Roselle.
Bring unusable indoor, outdoor, LED, or specialty holiday lights to the holiday light recycling drop boxes located at Village Hall, 31 S. Prospect St., and at Clauss Recreation Center, 555 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.

Decorate the Mitten Tree at the Roselle Public Library
|
Help decorate the "Mitten Tree" at the Roselle Public Library throughout the month of December. Please bring new mittens, gloves and hats to the Circulation Desk at the library, 40 S. Park St., for donation to those less fortunate this holiday season.
The Bloomingdale Township General Assistance Office will distribute all items collected through this program.

American Legion Auxiliary Giving Tree

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1084 is seeking donations to support its Kids Giving Tree, a project to fulfill the wishes of less fortunate kids.
Those interested in participating can stop by the American Legion Hall, 344 E. Maple Ave., to pick a gift request tag off the tree. Unwrapped gifts should be returned no later than December 10. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
