A Gathering of Women Clergy

June 3: 9:45 a.m - 3:30 p.m. at Roslyn Conference Center

Bishop Goff invites all women priests, deacons and bishops serving in the Diocese of Virginia to a Gathering of Women Clergy to reflect on Women in the Global Community.

The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) gathers with delegations from around the world every year.  This past March, for the first time, The Episcopal Church was formally represented.  Two women from the Diocese of Virginia were among the TEC delegates.  They were Nellie Adkins from Calvary, Front Royal, and Grace Aheron from Grace, Red Hill.  In addition, Carey Chirico brought a group of boys from St. George's, Fredericksburg, to participate in some of the events

Carey and Grace will join us for our Gathering of Women Clergy.  They will lead us in learning about the realities that women face around the world and in our own communities, and guide us in reflecting on our responses.

The day will be framed by worship and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Stephanie Higgins to let her know that you will attend.
