Annual Giving Workshop: Inspiring Faithful Generosity
May 16: 9:30 a.m - 12 p.m. at St. Stephen's, Culpeper
Members of the Diocesan Committee on Stewardship will facilitate workshops on annual giving using The Episcopal Network for Stewardship's (TENS) 2015 narrative series as the foundation. Because the Diocese of Virginia is a member of TENS, all churches and diocesan organization have free access to these resources!  These workshops are designed to complement your annual campaign through principles and practices that inspire faithful generosity.

NEW THIS YEAR are conversations that address the important and often unspoken intersection of your annual fund campaign and pastoral care.  How do we authentically begin conversations that encourage giving when parishioners in our pews already struggle financially?  What faithful dialogue may you offer parishioners who give generously, but never pledge?  When parishioners receive a raise, promotion, or inheritance, how do you ask them to prayerfully consider their giving in celebration and thanksgiving?

These and many more questions will be addressed as we continue to explore year-round stewardship and discuss what you need for a successful annual campaign.
