A Faithful Response to Gender-Based Violence, Feb. 28, Trinity, Charlottesville Open to men and women! The day will include prayer and guided bible study with Bishop Goff, a presentation and discussion on identifying and responding to gender violence, and an outreach project with the Shelter for Help in Emergency. We're happy to announce that the United Thank Offering In-gathering at Council was $486.63. The Episcopal Church Women thank all who contributed.
The 2015 Mustard Seed Grant and the Bishop Peter J. Lee Endowment for Small Church Revitalization Grant Guidelines are now available online. An international ecumenical conference will be held May 21-24 at Georgetown University, the National Cathedral and Marymount University. The event will promote global dialogue and understanding across different faiths, different churches, between different nations and between faith communities and secular groups through focusing upon the impact of the historic and groundbreaking event that was the Second Vatican Council. Upcoming Events at Roslyn
Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond will host Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 5, with seating at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cost: $35/person.
On April 18 at Roslyn, Bishop Susan Goff will lead the workshop, "Being Co-creators with God: Bringing Order out of Chaos."
In this Art Day with Bishop Goff, participants will reflect on the first Genesis creation story in Bible study, in conversation and in creating with found objects. No experience is required. The cost is $45 and includes materials and lunch.
The next complimentary Clergy Retreat for clergy and spouses of the Diocese will take place April 6-9 at Roslyn.
