Need to Know
The diocesan DioDocs blog is full of resources for both lay professionals and clergy. Check out recent posts including "Paying for Publicity: A Facebook Experience," "ECF Webinars" and "Smartphone Apps, Church Style." If your church or region is planning on taking a mission trip this October, November or December, please inform Melissa Eadie, the new intern working alongside the Office of Missions and Outreach: intern@thediocese.net. We would like to add these individuals and trips to our prayer list. More than 2,500 men, women and children have died from Ebola, and the World Health Organization has said that the outbreak is "unparalleled in modern times." The UN Security Council just declared Ebola a "threat to international peace and security" - and world leaders are gathering this week at the United Nations. You can add your name to a petition to urge UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to push these leaders to act now. Click here to add your name.
