Mustard Seed Grant Deadline Extended
The diocesan Office of Mission and Outreach is currently accepting preliminary letters of inquiry for the annual Mustard Seed Grants - and we've extended the deadline for submission from Feb. 14 to Feb. 19! So consider whether your congregation, region, committee, college chaplaincy or related organization has a project that could use some extra funding and submit your preliminary application materials today! Audit Forms for 2013 are now available online. All churches are required to submit audits by Aug. 31, 2014.

Volunteer chaplains are needed in the Richmond and Charlottesville areas for ministry with prisoners who are terminally ill. Please e-mail [email protected] for information.

The Episcopal Peace Fellowship chapter of Virginia Theological Seminary will host a lecture by Dr. Stanley Haurwas on Feb. 24: "Why Peace Requires Conflict." 7 p.m., Lettie Pate Evans Interim Chapel.

Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center in Marriottsville, Md., has some spiritual-focus retreats coming up. Kathy Anderson and Susan Boruff, graduates of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, will host "On the Road to Joy, a weekend retreat about deepening God's presence in your life, Feb. 21-23. The Rev. Diane Vie will host a Clergy Couples Conference and Retreat June 8-11. Learn more and register.
Episcopal Arts Series

The Diocese of Virginia is proud to announce that the second event in the Episcopal Arts Series will feature James Martin, baritone, and David O'Steen, pianist, this spring.

Performances will take place on Tuesday, April 22, at Holy Comforter, Richmond, and on Wednesday, April 23, at Christ Church, Winchester.

We're excited to bring these acclaimed performers to the Diocese of Virginia! Please stay tuned for more information. Tickets will go on sale in early March.
