Need to Know
The diocesan offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 23 through Wed., Jan. 1. We wish you a peaceful remainder of Advent, a merry Christmas and a joyful new year! As we enter the last week of Advent, don't forget to visit our series of daily #AdventDioVa reflections, posted on the DioDocs blog. This is the last issue of the e-Communiqu é you'll receive in 2013. We will not publish an issue on Wednesday, Dec. 25. The first issue of 2014 will hit your inboxes on Thursday, Jan. 2. Do you use Constant Contact for your church e-newsletters? If so, you can sign up under the diocesan business partnership with Constant Contact and 15 percent of your payments will support youth mission vouchers in the Diocese of Virginia. Contact Emily Cherry at echerry@thediocese.net to learn more about this e-mail marketing program, or sign up at constantcontact.com.
The Diocese was recently able to award 20 churches with small grants of $350-500 to create or sustain ministries for food or feeding programs. Check out the full list here!
