The newly formed diocesan Food Ministry Team, headed by Stephanie Roberts-Turner of Holy Comforter, Richmond, is working to build a network of churches involved in food pantries, community gardens, Meals on Wheels or any kind of food-related outreach. Gathering under the theme, "Many Paths, One Journey; Many Ministries, One Hope," with special keynote speakers on the issue of human trafficking.    

 

New Clergy Orientation, Oct. 22 at Mayo House, Richmond.
All clergy who have begun new ministries in the Diocese within the past 18 months, including the newly ordained and those who are transitioning from other dioceses, are invited to attend.

Anti-racism training with the Committee on Race & Reconciliation.

Other Events   

Members of Holy Comforter, Richmond, and St. John's, Centreville, will take part in the planning and execution of the Living Waters Summit from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond on Nov. 19.

The Committee on Aging would like to encourage members of the Diocese to check out the 27th Annual Caregivers Conference on November 11, 2013.  This event, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Dementia Care Consortium, offers a great opportunity for attendees to speak with other caregivers, learn practical tips for the best ways to respond to certain behaviors and to learn more about available support options.  More information and a registration form can be found here.
