Food Sustainability Conference
The diocesan Committee for the Stewardship of Creation will bring together environmental experts and speakers for an interfaith conference on food sustainability on September 21 at Our Saviour, Charlottesville.
The day will be an opportunity for clergy and lay leaders to come together and discuss the intersection of faith and environment - and how to make a difference as a church community.
"The Challenge of Food Sustainability: Preserving Biodiversity, Forests, Cropland, Water" will explore the challenges posed by agricultural sustainability and food insecurity - and how those issues are connected to moral and ecological concerns for environmental justice.
The registration fee of $25/person ($20/person for multiple attendees from the same church) includes a sustainable lunch and program materials.
